About The Leightons

I (Matt) grew up in Georgetown, Colorado. I was converted during my college days at Brown University. Núria was born and raised in the Barcelona area. She came to faith in Christ as a teenager.

In 1995, I went to Spain to serve in a sports ministry. Soon after arriving, I met Núria at a Christmas party. It was love at first sight! We were married in 1997.

In 1999, God provided for us to move to the U.S. so that I could study at Westminster Seminary in California. After I graduated in 2002, we went back to Spain, sent as missionaries by Grace Bible Church (Escondido, CA). We've been serving the Lord there ever since.

We are blessed with five children: Dan, Jon, Tània, Àlex, and Marc.
